It was the first day of summer vacation. The sun was shining brightly as it cast it's warm rays over the earth. It was warm, but not humid, and there was a light, cool breeze which blew every few seconds. An ideal summer day.

"This is perfect weather for the first day of summer vacation.", Gwen said, as a light breeze blew some loose strands of her bright, red hair into her face and made the skirt of her light blue sundress dance around her legs.

"Yeah", Kevin agreed. "Too bad it's only gonna get hotter as the summer goes on. So let's enjoy this nice summer weather wile we can." Kevin said, as he put his arm around Gwen's shoulders. "Just you, me, and no Ben."

"No Ben at all?"

"Well, maybe a double date or two with Ben and Julie, but I was hoping to spend as much of this summer just you and me together", Kevin answered.

"Yeah, that would be nice. So how are we gonna spend this day together?" Gwen asked, smiling.

Kevin opened the passenger side door of his car. "Get in, I have something I want to show you."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kevin stopped and parked the car on the side of the road. They had driven out of town and were now parked at the side of road in the middle of the woods outside of Bellwood.

"Are you sure it's ok to park here?" Gwen asked as Kevin opened the car door to let her out.

"I don't know. No big deal, it's not like I haven't already gotten a lot of parking and speeding tickets that I never pay for" Kevin answered, as Gwen got out of the car.

"Kevin!"

"Ok, I DID pay for a few of them. But anyway, so the other day, I was out in the woods. Don't ask why I was out in the woods the other day, I just was."

Gwen's eyebrows raised in suspicion.

"And I was walking along", Kevin continued. "I came across something I wanted to show you."

Kevin took Gwen's hand and started to lead her through the trees.

They continued walking along through the trees for a couple minutes.

"Are we almost there?" Gwen asked.

"Almost." Kevin answered, still leading Gwen along.

"Now we're here", Kevin said a few minutes later, as they came out of the trees, into a wide, open field.

The field was full of bright, green grass and thousands of flowers in many colors, which shown like stars in the light of the sun.

Each flower was full of life as they danced in the breeze.

Hundreds of colorful butterflies circled the flowers.

"Kevin, this place is beautiful!" Gwen exclaimed as she sat down in the middle of a patch of flowers.

"I know", Kevin said as he started to pick some flowers. "I wanted to bring you here before the summer started to get hotter, and the flowers started dying." Kevin sat down next to Gwen and handed her the flowers.

"Thanks", Gwen said, taking the flowers. She brought them up to her face and inhaled their fragrance.

They then both layed down on the soft grass, and quietly stared up at the clouds.

"I love spending moments like this with you", Gwen said turning on her side to face Kevin.

"Me too", Kevin replied, also turning on his side.

They were now both facing each other, so close their noses were touching.

They were staring deeply into each other's eyes, and their lips started to touch when a butterfly landed on Kevin's cheek.

Gwen giggled. "Kevin, you got a butterfly on your cheek.", she whispered, a wide smile spreading across her face.

"Gwen, did you know I have a phobia of butterflies?" Kevin said, not moving.

"You don't have a phobia of butterflies!"

"I know, I was joking".

Just then, more butterflies came and landed on them, wings softly fluttering.

Gwen and Kevin were now covered in butterflies.

"It seems the butterflies like us", Gwen said.

"Who wouldn't like us? Especially you. You're wonderful, and I love you.", Kevin said, keeping as still as possible as not to disturb the butterflies.

Gwen responded by putting her lips to Kevin's.

They kissed in a field of flowers and butterflies.
And the butterflies ate them, leaving bright, red stains on the flowers. (Just kidding.)

Those butterflies totally ship Gwevin.

My entry for :iconlovinspoonfuls:'s Summer lovin contest.

I'll finish this description later (or never), I'm REALLY tiered of typing.
